Peter Konikowski is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who believes in music as the best medicine on earth. His sound is warm and inviting, with a touch of the wild spirit of his home, Big Sur, on California’s Central Coast. With an appetite for reggae, folk, psych-rock, pop, old-school soul, and world and devotional music, his influences range from Sam Cooke and Bob Marley, Ben Harper and Norah Jones to Iron and Wine, ‘90s hip-hop and the occasional dip into Frank Sinatra. The throughline are Konikowski’s lyrics, which weave messages of hope into something deeper than platitudes: he’s writing the songs he needs to hear, and chances are, you need them too.
