Dipāvali or Diwali is a 5 day celebration that takes place every autumn. It is a festival filled with lights, song, colorful offerings, flowers, teachings, stories, sweets and ritual. Diwali represents new beginnings, the victory of light over darkness, the triumph of truth and inner wisdom in place of ignorance. It is a time to nurture and celebrate dharma, the radiance and light within, as well the light in one another.
